What are the components of a wind turbine?

Wind turbines are mainly composed of the following parts:

1、 Wind turbine (impeller)

Function: The wind turbine is an energy conversion device for wind turbines, used to capture wind energy and convert it into mechanical energy. Its function is to convert wind energy into mechanical energy that drives a generator to generate electricity through the rotation of its blades.

Composition: The wind turbine is mainly composed of blades, hub, and reinforcement components. 2、 Generator

4、 Yaw device (wind device)

Function: The yaw device is used to control the steering of the wind turbine, ensuring that it always faces the wind direction to capture more wind energy. It usually consists of components such as wind direction sensors, motors, and controllers.

Function: Ensure that wind turbines can automatically adjust their direction in response to changes in wind direction, maintaining optimal wind energy capture efficiency.

5、 Control system

Function: The control system is used to monitor and control the operating status of wind turbines, including battery packs, inverters, measuring instruments, protective equipment, etc. It ensures the safe and stable operation of wind turbines and optimizes power generation efficiency.

Composition: The control system consists of two parts: hardware and software. The hardware part includes sensors, controllers, actuators, etc; The software part is responsible for tasks such as data processing and algorithm control.

6、 Tower frame

Function: The tower is a structural component that supports components such as impellers, generators, and transmission systems. It is usually constructed using steel or concrete and has high strength and stability.

7、 Accessory equipment

Function: Auxiliary equipment is used to improve the safety and stability of wind turbines, including anemometers, thermometers, lightning protection devices, lighting, etc.

Composition: These devices ensure the normal operation of wind turbines in adverse weather or emergency situations by monitoring environmental parameters and providing protective measures.
