The application for grid connection of wind turbines needs to be processed in accordance with the regulations and procedures of the power industry, usually involving the following main procedures and steps:

1、 Preliminary preparation and qualification review

1. Project approval/filing

-Obtain project approval/filing documents from the local development and reform commission or energy bureau.

2. Connection of power grid planning

-Submit project information to local power grid companies (State Grid, Southern Power Grid, etc.) for preliminary access plan consultation.

3. Technical feasibility assessment

-Entrust qualified institutions to prepare the "Wind Farm Access System Design Report" and evaluate the carrying capacity of the power grid.

2、 Formal application and review

4. Submit grid connection application

-Submit a written grid connection application to the local power grid enterprise, accompanied by project approval documents, enterprise business license, wind turbine technical information, etc.

5. Approval of access system scheme

-After the review by the power grid enterprise, a "Reply to the Wind Farm Access System Plan" will be issued, specifying the access point, voltage level, capacity, etc.

6. Sign the grid connection agreement

-Both parties sign legal documents such as the Grid Dispatch Agreement and the Power Purchase and Sale Contract.

-Construct grid connected facilities such as booster stations and transmission lines as required.

8. Equipment debugging and testing

-Wind turbines need to pass grid performance tests required by the power grid, such as low voltage ride through, power quality, etc.

9. Start acceptance inspection

-Submit an acceptance application to the power grid, conduct on-site inspection, and issue a 'Grid Connection Acceptance Opinion'.

10. Grid connected dispatch

-After passing the acceptance inspection, the power grid enterprise arranges grid connection scheduling and the wind turbines are officially put into operation.

11. Follow up management

-Comply with power grid dispatch instructions, regularly submit operational data, participate in electricity market transactions, etc.

Key precautions

-Policy differences: Specific processes in each province may be adjusted, and it is necessary to communicate with local energy regulatory authorities and power grid companies in advance.

-Technical standard: The performance of the wind turbine must comply with the national standard "Technical Regulations for Wind Farm Access to Power System" (GB/T 19963).

-Time limit requirement: The grid connection application should be initiated before the project starts, and the entire process may take several months.
